Last weekend I had such a fantastic time doing a portfolio shoot with Kenzie. How we ended up doing this was really rather random – I was doing some work in a local coffee shop and she was the barista. We got to talking, and she had mentioned that she was going to be a Senior in the fall, and I didn’t think much about it at the time. I went back to my work, but I couldn’t stop thinking about how I wanted to ask her if she would let me do a portfolio shoot with her for her senior photos. I kept trying to blow it off, thinking that I needed to focus on my work but I just couldn’t. So finally I prayed about it and really felt like I just needed to ask her. So I did, and she agreed – and the cool thing is, she was even thinking about not getting them done because they are so expensive at most places. So I really think it was a God thing and that this portfolio shoot was meant to be.

We had such a fun time and never left Fond du Lac. We spent most of our time split between Lakeside Park and at an old antique shop near downtown that happens to have a lot of really cool buildings around it. We especially had a fun time taking photos in door frames. Kenzie could easily be a model – she was so natural in front of the camera! And I just could not get enough of her eyes – they are so bright and sparking! She has such natural beauty, and the lovely and fun personality to go with it.

At the end of our shoot, she even decided to cool off in the fountain and take a few photos there. All in all it probably some of the most fun photography I’ve gotten to do thus far. I look forward to doing more artsy senior photos like this, and hopefully some engagement photos similar to this as well.
